The delayed opening to early October does not affect Whitebreast Beach.
Whitebreast Recreation Area offers access to boat launching (ramp closed at elevation 777' over), swimming at the Whitebreast Beach, an amphitheater, playgrounds, hiking trails, numerous picnic shelters, shower facilities, and a fish-cleaning station.
Boating
Boaters have access to a boat ramp. It closes at elevation 777’ or over.
Camping
The campground houses 132 campsites. The sites are open from April through September.
Whitebreast Beach
Sand beach offers access to swimming, a sand volleyball court, numerous picnic shelters, shower facilities, and restrooms. To reserve a picnic shelter, please visit recreation.gov or call the National Recreation Reservation Service at 877-444-6777. If shelters are not reserved, they are available free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis.
