The Work of Our Hands is offering kids prizes for cross-cultural activities during the month of July with their Passport Adventure Summer Cultural Program. The program launches July 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. with a Passport Pick-Up Party at Thursdays in Pella. Children ages 3 to 14 can pick-up a passport and earn credits for international activities— reading books, eating new foods, watching videos, etc. Kids will earn prizes for activities they complete. Those who complete the entire passport will have their names entered in a drawing to win a stuffed alpaca-fur animal. For children who can’t join the July 6 party, passports can be picked up at the store during normal business hours, beginning July 7. Assistant store manager Anna Allen said, “With this program, we hope to increase kids’ understanding of the different cultures around the world.” For more details please call or email at [email protected].
